Step 1. We will assist you in calculating the solar potential of your rooftop.

WSE will assist you by identifying your unique photovoltaic rooftop solar potential using state of the art PV simulator programs. This will help determine the system size for calculating the next step.

Step 2. We will assist in determining the system size and pricing using existing rebates.

Step 3. We will assist you in estimating power and revenue generation.

While there are no power generation guarantees a typical install in the Saskatoon could provide the following (based on PVWatts and roof variables):

Monthly Interest Rate 0.314%
Monthly Payment (PI)
Total MONTHLY PAYMENT $210.71
TOTALS
Number of Payments 240
Number of Years to Payoff 20
Total Payments $50,400
Total Interest $15,000

$210.71 x 12 months = $2,520 (the cost to finance/year)
The first year the PV will have a short fall of about $66 per month

You will be able to offset this cost if you can tie into a business, farm etc

Revenue Canada will allow a 50% deduction, so you use $17,000 as a deduction in year 1

( Canadian Renewable and Conservation Expenses (CRCE) is a category of fully deductible expenditures associated with the start-up of renewable energy and energy conservation projects for which at least 50 percent of the capital costs of the property would be described in Class 43.1.)

Using a 15 to 30%% tax rate, this will you back $5,250 to $10,500 over the first few years, which more than covers your PV short falls.

Step 4. Determine if this is a good investment opportunity for YOU!

This is dependent on your tax and financial position. YOU should consult your accountant or financial advisor.

Simply put your $35,000 investment will return $109,000 over 25 years and using the 15% tax deduction results in over 3.3% ROI

Remember each year you will give back 8,000 kgs of CO2 to the environment

How does that make you feel you feel?

Two Technologies
If you were to place a crystalline module beside a thin-film module, some differences will be more apparent than others.
The first distinction is appearance. Single-crystal PV modules have distinct, dark-colored cells that are either rectangular or octagonal in shape; multicrystalline modules have some sparkle to the cells, and are usually rectangular. In each, the electrical connections are evident as a regular pattern of
parallel, silver lines called traces.
"Thin-film" is used somewhat as a catch-all phrase, since it refers to a variety of module compositions, including amorphous silicon (a-Si), cadmium telluride (CdTe), and copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS). One of the main advantages to amorphous silicon is that it can be
directly deposited on glass or even plastic, allowing it to be manufactured in long, continuous rolls, or incorporated onto a flexible substrate, such as laminates, shingles, and roofing tiles-even backpacks.

The appearance of amorphous silicon also tends to be more uniform. Because of the uniform color,
thin-film products appeal to those with a major concern for aesthetics-architects, designers, and end users-for streamlined building-integrated applications.
But where the differences between the two module types really show up is in their sunlight-to-electricity conversion efficiencies and power densities. Crystalline modules require less space than thin-film modules for the same amount of power-thin-film is less efficient in the conversion of sunlight
to electricity.
Single- and multicrystalline modules have typical conversion efficiencies between 12% and 17%. But thin-film technologies can have half that, ranging from 6% to 8%. Thin film modules take up about twice as much space to generate an equivalent amount of energy compared to crystalline

With performance like this, it is easy understanding why WSE Solar PV Panels are the best choice.

WSE Net Zero Home

Hello:
Today I was at the VerEco Net Zero Home around noon, and noticed that the outdoor conditions were excellent for solar gain. The sky was cloudless, there was snow on the parking lot in front of the PV modules, there was no snow on the modules, and the temperature was about -25 C.
The array is rated at 4.4 kW, and around solar noon today the output was about 4.9 kW.

"The rocks that produce electricity" (to use Martin Holladay's evocative description of PV cells) were outdoing themselves today. Some might even say they were rocking.

Now if only it would warm up!
Attached is the hourly output from the TED 5002 G unit for the past several days. The PV production is shown as a negative value; the house consumption as a positive.
Sustainably,

BATTERYLESS GRID-TIED SYSTEMS

These most common PV systems are also known as on-grid, gridtied, utility-interactive, grid-intertied, or grid-direct. They generate solar electricity and route it to the loads and to the electric utility grid, offsetting a home's or business's electricity usage.
Living with a grid-connected solar-electric system is no different than living with utility electricity, except that some or all of the electricity you use comes from the sun. The drawback of these batteryless systems is that they provide no outage protection- when the utility grid fails, these systems cannot operate. In many provinces, the utility credits a grid-tied customer's account for solar electricity produced during each billing cycle, which is then applied to periods when the system produces less or electrical consumption is greater. This arrangement is called net-metering or net billing. The specific terms of netmetering laws and regulations vary from province to province tand utility to utility. In some states, a production incentive may pay the system owner a premium for PV system production.

Solar Panel Grid Tieback to links

GRID-TIED SYSTEMS WITH BATTERY BACKUP

This type is very similar to an off-grid system in design and components, but adds the utility grid, which reduces the need for the system to provide all the energy all the time. The battery bank provides backup to some or all loads during utility outages. Battery backup can be provided for any household circuit, but common backup loads include refrigeration, a well pump, or a computer. Including batteries in a grid-tied system requires morecomponents, is more expensive, and lowers the system's overall efficiency compared to a batteryless grid-tied system. But for homeowners who regularly experience utility outages or have critical electrical loads, having a backup energy source can be important.
