Commercial PV Rooftop Mounting System

Why High-Profile?

In climates such as Canada, snow is a major concern. Only a little snow obstruction can incapacitate 100% of a panel installed vertically and 33% of a panel installed horizontally.

Low-Profile also available.
In addition to the High-Profile, or above-ground, system shown above, the SunRail™ can also be assembled Low-Profile such as shown in A below.

No ballists required.
The SunRail™ is so sturdy that it has the same stability as a ballisted system, yet it requires no additional ballists. (varies based on application)

Absolute flexibility.
Because the SunRail™ consists simply of WSE's patented aluminum extrusion, engineers and contractors can design for themselves the mounting system that best suits every project's needs.

Installation steps (follow images):

1. Lay down SunRail™ tracks.
• Simply lay on ground.
• No screws or ballasts required.

2. Attach vertical supports.
• One for the front, one for the back.
• SunJoint™ attaches quickly and solidly.

3. Place bottom SunJoint™ clamps.
• Goes on the front, shorter legs.
• Clamps compatible with all panel frames.
• Ideal for StructuralPV™ and SunEdge™.

4. Lower module onto clamps.
• With crane or by hand (varies).

5. Lean module backwards, attach top clamps.
• Module should fall right on back legs.
• Clamps compatible with all panel frames.
• That's it!
What is a StructuralPV™ Module?
Technology that make solar installations easier and less costly. Still today, most commercial and industrial installations are done using the same methods as for smaller residential systems. The concept of StructuralPV™ is to bring some of the advancements in commercial construction to the solar industry.

How it works.
StructuralPV™ modules are made of several crystalline PV panels pre-assembled in factory, where they are reliably mounted into a solid structure, connected and tested assembled. The StructuralPV™ modules are then shipped directly to the installation site, where they are installed with modern construction methods using the SunRail™ mounting system, which dramatically increases speed, reduces labor costs, maximizes power output and results in a very solid and reliable system.

StructuralPV™ Features
• Uses exactly the same aluminum extrusion as the SunRail™ mounting system.
• Mono-crystalline PV panels pre-assembled and tested in factory.
• Delivered to the project site, ready to install.
• Integrates directly into SunRail™ mounting system.
• Sizes vary -- up to 4 panels wide x 3 panels high.
• Output per StructuralPV™ up to 3.6 kW (12 x 300W panels).
• Up to 600 Volts of matched PV panels.

Benefits of StructuralPV™
• 3% more power output: factory pre-assembly avoids panel mismatch.
• Enables up to 5X more installations per year with same team of workers.
• Installations are much faster.
• Installed with a crane, resulting in significantly lower labor costs.
• Once assembled, system is very solidly built and weather-resistant.
• Tested assembled, assuring maximum reliability
** PLEASE DESCRIBE THIS IMAGE ** The SunRail™ Concept
A practical, low-cost mounting solution that maximizes performance and reliability on any roof or land. The SunRail™ is a patented aluminum extrusion that, combined with the patented SunJoint™ clamps, can be cut and assembled into any type of solar installation, of any size.

Aluminum Extrusion
The SunRail™ extrusion is used as the complete structure for WSE's mounting system as well as WSE's StructuralPV™ pre-assembled modules. The unique aluminum extrusion is delivered to the project site in lengths of up to 24 feet, where it can be conveniently cut by the installer to fit any system size. Pre-cut beams are also available for certain standard setups. The SunRail™ extrusion provides exceptional strength for even the most heavy-duty projects, at a very competitive cost.

SunJoint™ Clamps
The SunJoint™ clamps are a small set of folded metal pieces with bolts and lock nuts that are used to rapidly and conveniently assemble the SunRail™ mounting system. Some of the SunJoint™ clamps robustly connect SunRail™ extrusions together into a mounting structure, while others are used to tightly attach PV panels, either with a standard frame or a SunEdge™ frame, to the mounting system. The clamps only require a wrench and can be tightened with one hand to build a solid mounting structure for virtually any project type or size.

The SunRail™ Advantage
• Fast, easy and convenient installation.
• Low-cost: simple design and few parts.
• Fits virtually all installations and PV panels.
• Completely flexible: installer cuts to desired size.
• Very solid and sturdy, even for heavy-duty applications.
• Comes with a 25-year limited product warranty.
• Made in Ontario.
