| The story begins on an island in northern Saskatchewan on Nemeiben lake the fall of 2003 |
| The island is a 6 mile boat trip from the main dock. The lake has about a 1,000 miles of shoreline with a total of 64 cabins. |
| Information about existing cabin |
| The exising cabin is`about 700 sq.ft cabin, with a great screened porch,2 bedrooms, small bathroom with shower and flush toilet and great southern exposed deck. |
The Cabin came with a 4,000 watt generator which is sufficent for any power tools required for renovation.
A 12 volt charger is connected to generator to charge 12 volt RV battery. The battery operates 12 volt lights and shurflo 12v pressure pump to supply water pressure for hot and cold running water
A 110 volt pressure system pumps water from lake to 300 gallon water resevoir.
Propane is used for stove, frigid and water heater.
A small 110 volt deep freezer is run directly from generator ( about 3 hours a day) to keep things frozen.
Gravity fed sewage drains back to lagoon behind cabin.
A well stocked tool shed was a pleasant find.
Because the lake is froze over by the end of October and not open again till around May 20, lots of time to design new renovation and making the island a solar kingdom.
When you see our plan for the rennovation you will understand why Canadians are nuts.
See you in the sping.

Well it is May 18th 2004 , Joanne is on the deck of our new cabin.
It is absolutely beautiful , I spend all morning getting water from lake to reservoir, need to change that system.
Anyway we are planning on hauling the lumber from the dock to the island about 6 miles..
LET THE GAMES BEGIN
