Hi Zack;
You may remember that I bought a FL30 from you for use on a garden irrigation system.
So far, so good. This wonderful pump takes everything that I throw at it and comes right back for more. It has been working, day in and day out now, for a couple of months without a hitch.
For several weeks now, I've had the 40 watt pv panel on an adjustable pole mount. I move the panel to face the sun, several times a day. The pump sometimes operates at full electrical input, for hours at a time. It can get quite warm to the touch but it works famously. I believe that it can't be turning much more than 600-1000 rpm, maybe even slower. It self-primes several times a day, from a depth of about 5', when other demands draw down the well and, on mixed sunny-cloudy days, it starts and stops, as required, taking it all in stride.
So far, we have 200' of drip and this works perfectly. I also have some low-pressure spray heads. The spray heads work best if the drip lines are turned off because this allows the pressure to build up a bit. So, my strategy is to alternate that bit of watering with the drip.
I'm very satisfied with this FL 30 and I feel that anyone contemplating the purchase of one should be aware of exactly what a deal they could be getting.
Good stuff. Thanks
